Days of Molecular Medicine 2016: Bugs to Bedside to Biotech

The Days of Molecular Medicine (DMM) 2016 meeting titled “Bugs to Bedside to Biotech” took place on October 27 – 28 at the Karolinska Institutet this past week. The meeting highlighted the interface of new technologies to fight the next generation of infective agents, pandemics and superbugs being created by the over-use of antibiotics. The event was organized by Karolinska Institutet from Stockholm, the DMM Global Foundation based in Cambridge, USA and the IPSEN Foundation in Paris, France.

The Ymer brothers of Team Bactiguard do the unexpected at IF Stockholm Open

Mikael and Elias Ymer of Team Bactiguard won a sensational victory in the doubles final in this weekend’s ATP tournament IF Stockholm Open. They played against the seasoned pair Michael Venus and Mate Pavic, who have won 4 out of 7 ATP finals this year, and ended the match with the score of 6-1, 6-1. Mikael and Elias thereby secured the first ATP victory of their career.

Mikael played a lot matches during september both at home court and away. Davis Cup was played in Båstad and then Mikael had a Challenger in Rome on the schedule. Mikael played a lot of good games during the month of september and it´s fun to see that hard work pays off.

Daniel played the Båstad Futures in May, unfortunately, the opposition was tough but good training could be held anyway during the tournament. Mikael's progress with his rehabilitation continues to be positive. The time on court increases week by week and he no longer feel pain in any exercise.
